Russel Westbrook

Russell Westbrook Jr. (born November 12, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder of theNational Basketball Association (NBA). Westbrook played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins and was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics who then relocated to Oklahoma City six days later. The point guard is a four-time NBA All-Star, and he was named the NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2015. He is also a three-time All-NBA Second Team member. Westbrook has also represented the United States on their national team twice, winning gold medals in the 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2012 Olympics.

Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Tyrone Wade, Jr. (born January 17, 1982) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has established himself as one of the most well-known and popular players in the league. Wade had the top selling jersey in the NBA for nearly two years, leading the league in jersey sales from the 2005 NBA Playoffs, until the midpoint of the 2006–07 season.His first name is pronounced/dwɛɪn/, the same as the more common spellings "Dwayne" and "Duane".

Derrick Rose

Derrick Martell Rose (born October 4, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played one year of college basketball for the University of Memphis before being drafted first overall by Chicago in the 2008 NBA draft.Rose became the first guard to be drafted first overall in the NBA draft since Allen Iverson in 1996 and would subsequently win NBA Rookie of the Year. In 2011, Rose was named the NBA Most Valuable Player, becoming the youngest player to win this award at 22 years and 6 months old.

Klay Thompson

Klay Alexander Thompson (born February 8, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors of theNational Basketball Association (NBA). Listed at 6'7" (2.01m), he plays mostly at shooting guard. He is the son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson. Thompson played college basketball for three seasons at Washington State University before being selected by Golden State with the 11th pick of the 2011 NBA draft. In 2014, he and teammate Stephen Curry set an NBA record with 484 combined three-pointers in a season as the pair were given the nickname the "Splash Brothers".Thompson was named an NBA All-Star in 2015.

Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Andrew Irving (born March 23, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association(NBA). Irving was born in MelbourneAustralia but grew up in West OrangeNew Jersey. He played collegiately at Duke University before being selected with thefirst overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cavaliers. Since being in the NBA, Irving has achieved a number of accolades including being the 2011–12 NBA Rookie of the Year and the 2014 NBA All-Star game MVP.

James Harden

James Edward Harden, Jr. (born August 26, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Harden played college basketball for Arizona State, where he was named a consensus All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Yearin 2009. Harden was selected with the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by Oklahoma City and became the first player drafted in Oklahoma City Thunder franchise history.In 2012, he was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year with the Oklahoma City Thunder while helping them reach the NBA Finals. Harden was traded to Houston prior to the 2012–13 NBA season.

The building is home to the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association, the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League, and the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. The arena is home to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), and the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League (AFL) and the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA D-Leaguewere also tenants until both franchises were discontinued; the D-Fenders moved to the Lakers' practice facility at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, California for the 2011–12 season. Staples Center is also host to over 250 events and nearly 4 million guests each year. It is the only arena in the NBA shared by two teams.
